Kids School Holiday Sewing: September 19, 20,21 and 27,28,29

Learn to sew in the September Holidays! 

Kids will individually create new projects with Natalie each day in a creative and inclusive environment. 

Suitable for ages 10 and up. 

Small classes of up to four students. 

Classes will run from 9.30am to 3.30 pm each day at the Dusty Disco Ball studio upstairs at 84B Charles St Seddon. 

Available classes: 

WEEK 1 - SIMPLE SEWING 

Tuesday Sept 19 - Coasters and Shoulder Bags 

Wednesday Sept 20 - Pillowcase and matching Bed Cushion

Thursday Sept 21 - Pyjama/Lounge Pants

WEEK 2 - UPCYCLING BASICS

Wednesday Sept 27 - Christmas Decorations and Small Gifts

Thursday Sept 28 - Patchwork Pet Blankets

Friday Sept 29 - Design a Plushie Soft Toy

Prerequisites: The first day of each week (Tuesday Sept 29 and Wednesday Sept 27) is suitable for students with absolutely no sewing experience. For all other days I generally recommend taking an absolute beginner class beforehand, either one of the two days or a separate Coaster class (see my regular classes for details). 

What to bring: You may bring along your own sewing machine to learn on, or borrow one of my vintage sewing machines for the day. Also bring along some basic sewing supplies (scissors etc) if you have them, labelled if possible. 

There will be a small list of suggested fabrics to bring each day as well as upcycled fabrics and scraps will be supplied for students to use. Lists will be supplied.

For the Pyjama/Lounge pants class, students will need to bring along a separate pair of pants to use as the base for a pattern - these will not be cut up! 

Students will also need to bring along a lunchbox, a snack and a water bottle for breaks during the day.
