Full Day September School Holiday Sewing Classes Melbourne

Give your child a creative, confidence‑building experience these school holidays with a Dusty Disco Ball sewing class in Melbourne.

Held in our friendly Seddon studio in Melbourne’s West, these small‑group workshops are the perfect introduction to sewing — or a chance for more experienced young makers to build on their skills.

Available full day classes (9.30am - 3:30pm for Beginner and 9:30am - 4:30 pm for Beginner + ).

NOTE: If a full day class is too long for child, check out my half day beginner classes on Saturdays during the school holidays.

Beginner + classes (some sewing experience)

Tuesday September 29 - Sew Simple Shorts with Pockets

Wednesday September 30 - Make a Hoodie

Location

Classes are held at the Dusty Disco Ball studio in Seddon, Melbourne, easily accessible from Footscray, Yarraville, Newport and surrounding inner‑west suburbs.

Places are limited and bookings are essential.

School Holiday Sewing Class FAQs

Do kids need sewing experience?

No experience is needed at all. Beginners are very welcome and guided step‑by‑step. Some experience is recommended for beginner + and intermediate/teen classes.

Are sewing machines and materials provided?

All sewing machines, tools and all materials for smaller projects are provided. For larger projects students are encouraged to bring the recommended fabrics, though suitable upcycled fabric will always be available if you forget!

What age are the classes suitable for?

Classes are suitable for kids and teens aged 9 and up.

Are classes suitable for neurodivergent children?
