Custom Sewing Program for Two: Pyjama/Lounge Pants (6 hours)

Want to sew with a friend to make the perfect pair of lounge/pyjama pants for yourself or a family member? This is the class for you! 

You will learn: How to make a simple pattern, add a pocket, create a hem cuff and add an elastic waist.

NOTE: This is a longer class and is a great one day project.  For kids I recommend that they complete this project over a few days unless it is an all day school holiday class. 

This class can be completed in a full day, in 2 x 3 hr sessions, or in 3 x 2 hour sessions. Contact Natalie to discuss your preference. 

Prerequisites: This is a confident beginner class. If you have never touched a machine before, I recommend starting with the Coaster class and the Tote Bag class beforehand.

What to Bring: Bring along a separate pair of close fitting regular pants/jeans to use as the base for a pattern - these will not be cut up! I also recommend that students wear clothes suitable to try on pants over the top.

Fabric required: Bring flannelette or other cotton fabric equal to twice the length of your pants plus an extra 30 cm (about 2.20 - 2.50 cm depending on your height). Also bring  30 cm of contrast fabric for cuffs and pocket. Elastic will be supplied.

Upcycled fabrics can be used! 

If you have a sewing machine that you would like to learn on, please bring it along. Otherwise you are welcome to use one of my collection of vintage machines.

Your class will be held in person upstairs at my workshop studio, 84b Charles St, Seddon.
