Kids School Holiday Sewing: Easter Break 9.30am - 3.30pm

Learn to sew in the Easter Holidays! 

Kids will individually create new projects with Natalie in a creative and inclusive environment. 

For absolute beginners, choose one of the beginner days to explore the fun of sewing. 

For keen beginners who have done a little sewing, join me for a three day Sewing Camp! 

Small classes of up to four students. 

Suitable for ages 10 and up.

BEGINNER+ 3 DAY SEWING SCHOOL

Sewing projects for the sewing camp will include at least two of the following - pillow case, pyjama/lounge pants, simple skirt.

Classes will run from 9.30am to 3.30 pm at the Dusty Disco Ball Studio upstairs at 84B Charles St Seddon. 

Prerequisites: The beginner days (Friday April 5 and Tuesday April 9) are suitable for students with absolutely no sewing experience. For the 3 day sewing camp I generally recommend taking an absolute beginner class beforehand. Contact me if you have questions!

What to bring: You may bring along your own sewing machine to learn on, or borrow one of my vintage sewing machines for the day. Also bring along some basic sewing supplies (scissors etc) if you have them, labelled if possible. 

There will be a small list of optional suggested fabrics to bring each day as students often like to bring fabrics of their choice. Upcycled fabrics and scraps will also be supplied for students to use.

For the Pyjama/Lounge pants and the Simple Skirt students will need to bring along a separate pair of pants or a skirt to use as the base for making a pattern - these will not be cut up! 

All clothing projects will be tried on over clothing worn on the day so I suggest that kids wear simple clothes such as t-shirts, shorts or leggings.

Students will also need to bring along a lunchbox, a snack and a water bottle for breaks during the day. 

With parent permission we also head to a small park nearby at lunchtime for a break.
