Beginner Sewing Class: Hem, Mend and Modify (1.5 hours)

Got items in your wardrobe that need hemming, mending or a couple of tweaks! I’ll show you how to make minor adjustments so that your clothes can be artfully mended and fitted perfectly to your unique body.

You will learn: how to make a hem, create functional and beautiful mends and make minor clothing adjustments. 

Prerequisites: This is a beginner class but If you have never touched a machine before, I recommend starting with the Coaster class.

What to bring: Bring along up to three items of clothing that you would like to hem, mend or modify. The complexity of the changes will determine how many of these are completed in the lesson.

If you have a sewing machine that you would like to learn on, please bring it along. Otherwise you are welcome to use one of my collection of vintage machines.

Your class will be held in person at my workshop studio, 84b Charles St, Seddon. 

Just book in for your preferred time. Currently I have a limit of two for beginner classes but if you have a larger group, call to discuss options.
