Spring Sewing: Tote Bag (October 27 and November 17)
Spring Sewing: Tote Bag (October 27 and November 17)
In this class you will sew your very own simple tote bag. With pockets!
You will learn: How to cut out pattern pieces, make bag handles and sew a professional looking tote bag with pockets and lining.
Prerequisites: This is a total beginner class. But if you have never touched a machine before I recommend doing the Coaster class first.
This class is suitable for all ages, with a maximum of four students. Class will only run with a minimum of two students.
AVAILABLE DATES
9 am - 1.30 pm Saturday October 27
9 am - 1.30 pm. Saturday November 17
What to bring: One metre (or one yard) of medium weight woven cotton fabric (non stretchy). Some suitable medium weight fabrics would be cotton drill, cotton duck or any slightly thicker cotton fabric. You will also need one metre of lining fabric as well, craft cotton or lightweight cotton is ideal for this.
Note: Some fabrics will be available on the day but I suggest you bring your own so that you can make a bag you’ll love to use.
If you have a sewing machine that you would like to learn on, please bring it along. Otherwise you will be able to use one of my collection of vintage machines.
Your class will be held in person at my workshop studio, 84b Charles St, Seddon.
Bring along a water bottle and a snack for a mid morning break.
If you have any questions or trouble booking, contact me on 0419155380.
Looking forward to sewing with you!
